Gamification & Habit Building¶
AeroBeat should reward consistency first, not endless meta-system complexity.
For the launch product, the retention loop should stay narrow and honest:
- Workout Points (WP) as the single launch progression currency
- simple weekly goals
- simple streaks tied to consistency
That is enough to make progress visible without turning v1 into a premature live-service treadmill.

V1 retention loop¶
Workout Points¶
Workout Points remain the main progression currency in v1.
Their job is simple:
- reward completed workouts
- make progress visible
- support a modest set of official unlocks if content supply is ready
WP should not imply a large rotating store, premium-currency exchange, or battle-pass system at launch.
Weekly goals¶
AeroBeat should let athletes pursue a simple weekly consistency target.
Recommended v1 examples:
- workout X days this week
- complete X sessions this week
The rule should be easy to understand and aligned with real workout habits.
Streaks¶
Streaks should reinforce habit-building, not punish normal life.
Recommended v1 posture:
- prefer a weekly consistency streak over a brittle daily-login streak
- avoid paid streak repair or similar manipulative mechanics
Deliberately deferred from v1¶
These may be valuable later, but they should not define the launch retention loop:
- global leaderboards
- social accountability graphs and crews
- premium currency
- battle passes
- seasonal progression tracks
- rotating shops
Those systems should be added only after the base workout loop, entitlement flows, and simple progression loop are proven.
Explorer bonus¶
Variety goals in the current docs slice should encourage athletes to explore the retained gameplay features, especially Boxing and Flow, rather than referencing removed modes.
